Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a placed houseparent in a stable student home. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person couple, legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model expectations
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
