Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School (Hershey, PA) and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of about 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision/mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role evolves from initial nine-on/three-off duty to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Chapel services
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person married couple at least two years married
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
