Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist position for married couples to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing day-to-day supervision, mentorship, and development activities for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, transportation to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent. Requires a two-person, on-site role, relocation to Hershey, PA, holding a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and being legally married for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Desire to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students
