Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, arranging and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and generating household reports. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to commit to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; both spouses must complete individual applications and be at least 27 years old.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
