Job Summary
Two-person Youth Development Specialist/Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide supervision and mentorship for 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead devotions and Chapel, oversee budgeting/reporting, and transition from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent. Requires legally married couples (min 2 years), both spouses age 27+, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, prior experience with youth, and relocation to Hershey, PA with on-site housing and benefits. Paid training, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to participate in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services
