Job Summary

Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and routine management for a group of 8–13 students in an on-campus home. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions while planning recreational programs. Transition from a rotating schedule of nine days on duty and three days off to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. Manage household budgets and reporting while maintaining a smoke-free, alcohol-free environment. Both spouses must hold a valid driver's license, meet age and marriage requirements, and complete individual applications to apply.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
  • Both spouses must be age 27 or older
  • No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
  • Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
  • Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
