Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students in on-campus homes while managing household routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities and lead developmental, recreational, and devotional programs, including accompanying them to Sunday Chapel. Oversee budgeting and household reporting, ensuring a structured, family-like environment for student growth. On weekdays, utilize unscheduled time while students are in school. After an initial period supporting various homes, transition into a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. This two-person position requires a legally married couple (minimum two years) with spouses aged 27 or older, residing in Hershey, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
