Job Summary

Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students in an on-campus home while managing household routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational programs, lead daily devotions, and accompany them to Sunday Chapel services. Oversee budgeting and household reporting, ensuring a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth. This two-person role requires married couples (aged 27+) to live on campus, with an initial schedule of nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off, transitioning to a Placed Houseparent position with the same student group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Both spouses must be age 27 or older
  • No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
  • Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
  • Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
