Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students in an on-campus home, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially duties involve rotating among homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty then three days off, with eventual placement into a stable student-home assignment. Benefits include salary per person around $44,768 with total couple compensation near $168,000, relocation assistance and paid training, comprehensive insurance options, paid time off, and other benefits. This is a two-person, married-couple requirement; both spouses must complete individual employment applications. Location is Hershey, PA (on-campus), with on-site housing and meals while on duty.”,
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
