Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent couple at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, resides in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support; responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting; schedule initially 9 consecutive days on duty followed by 3 days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home; benefits include relocation assistance and comprehensive health coverage, retirement, paid time off, and other through a total compensation package per couple.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
