Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples to live in on-campus student homes as Flex Houseparents, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students, including scheduling, activities planning, devotions, transportation, budgeting, and student well-being. Initially nine days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student-home assignment. Requires high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort leading devotions and Chapel services; relocation to Hershey, PA and on-campus housing are included. Two spouses collaborate in a two-person role, and both must complete individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Proselytizing prohibited (must be comfortable with Judeo-Christian chapel services)
