Job Summary
Two-person, on-campus houseparent role for married couples to care for and mentor groups of 8–13 students in a family-like home environment. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning development and recreational programs, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and eventual placement in a consistent student-home setting. Relocation assistance is provided. Benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, savings options, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Salary is $44,768 per person with total compensation around $168,000 per couple.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
