Job Summary
Two-person married couples are sought for Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and progresses to a placed houseparent arrangement living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total annual compensation per couple around $168,000, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and other fringe benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
