Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School located on campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentorship, household routines, medications administration, transportation to activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; comprehensive benefits and housing included. Requires both spouses to complete individual employment applications, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and HS diploma or GED; preference for prior youth-related experience and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement with individual applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Legally married for at least two years
- Two spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Comfort leading devotions and chapel services
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
- On-campus housing provided
