Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents on Milton Hershey School campus. Two-person team resides in on-site student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent home with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse teamwork commitment: both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Prohibited to have alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proven integrity and professionalism
