Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School living in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring wellness, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Includes relocation to Hershey on an on-campus role with comprehensive benefits and relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
