Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise a group of ~8–13 students in a student home. They provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a Placed Houseparent arrangement living with the same students. The role includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with on-site family-style housing and comprehensive benefits for both spouses, plus paid training and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
