Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples: Full-time Flex Houseparents residing in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship and daily supervision, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, and oversee budgeting and household reporting. Initially rotating across student homes on a schedule of nine days on / three days off, with eventual placement into a single student home; relocation to Hershey, PA with on-campus housing and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; model for students
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
