Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus in Staunton, IL. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, administering medications, coordinating daily routines and schedules, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel visits, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent assignment. Requires living on campus with a two-person married couple, commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and a valid driver’s license. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license or ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
