Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents role at Milton Hershey School on-campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students in their home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, paid time off, and training. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading devotions and attending Sunday Chapel services
