Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus at Milton Hershey School, living in student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, transport students to activities, and actively engage in developmental and recreational planning. They lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from rotating nine-day-on/three-day-off schedules to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires two legally married spouses (each 27+) to complete individual applications; includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
