Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School on campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent arrangement. Benefits include relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and meals/utilities on duty. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and being legally married for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
