Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. A two-person, married-couple role living on-campus to supervise and nurture 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, and supervision, administering medications, coordinating activities, budgeting, and reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and leads to a placed Houseparent position living with the same student group. Salary per person is $44,768 with total couple compensation around $168,000, plus relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; both spouses must apply independently and be at least 27 years old. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; on-campus housing and meals while on duty are included.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations as specified (fish and one dog)
