Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist – a two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and can transition into a placed houseparent assignment living with the same student group. Offers relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits, with a salary of $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple including housing and meals). Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, and experience with youth; two-year marriage minimum for both spouses, age 27+, and other campus-life and safety requirements.
