Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, planning development and recreation, leading daily devotions and chapel outings, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and later transitions to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student home, offering a structured, family-like environment focused on students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Capacity to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse requirement for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Complete individual employment applications for both spouses
