Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus to supervise and guide a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home, providing care, mentorship, and structure. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same student group. The position is a two-person married-couple role with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule initially, relocation assistance provided, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Committment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pets limited to fish and one dog of approved breeds
