Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for 8–13 students in on-campus homes, including administering medications and driving students to activities. Plan and lead developmental, recreational, and devotional programs, such as daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services. Oversee budgeting, household reporting, and ensure a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth. Married couples must reside on campus for nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off, eventually transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. The position requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus policy. Both spouses must be at least 27 years old, legally married for two years, and complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
