Job Summary
Two-person married couple will serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing on-campus to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support; manage household routines and student schedules; administer medications and ensure student wellness; drive students to activities and plan/participate in developmental and recreational activities; lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel; oversee budgeting and household reporting; initial schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition into a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students; relocation assistance provided; comprehensive benefits offered; total compensation targeted for a couple with on-site housing and meals included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- High school diploma or GED
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Proselytizing prohibited (leadership in Judeo-Christian chapel services)
