Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role: Full-time Flex Houseparents who reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a flexible initial placement to a fixed houseparent position with a consistent student group. Requires a two-person married-couple team, living on campus, with relocation to Hershey, PA; benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
