Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School located on campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of 8–13 students; manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on / three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent with the same student group. Benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive health benefits, and housing/meal provisions for duty periods. Must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, hold a high school diploma or GED, have a valid U.S. driver’s license (and ability to become certified to drive student home vans), and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience with youth is required and the role emphasizes a family-like environment focused on student development. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-spouse married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- No alcohol on duty on a weapon-free campus
- Strong integrity and professionalism
