Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role conducted as Full-time Flex Houseparents who reside in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, manage budgeting and reporting, and transition from flexible to placed houseparent. The two-person married couple works as a unit, living on campus with a structured schedule (nine days on, three days off initially) and ultimately living with the same group of students in their own home. Requires high school diploma or GED, driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; relocation assistance and paid training provided. Both spouses must complete individual employment applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Proven integrity and professionalism; role-model expectations for students
