Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparent role for married couples to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School. Couples provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for approximately 8–13 students, with responsibilities including supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) plus housing and comprehensive benefits; relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proselytizing prohibited in Judeo-Christian Chapel
