Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes to supervise ~813 students, provide care, guidance, supervision, and mentorship, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and household reporting. The schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same student group. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; salary is per person with total compensation for the couple noted separately.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and live on campus
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
