Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents residing on Milton Hershey School’s campus in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students in student homes, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, overseeing daily routines and budgeting, and leading daily devotions and attendance at Sunday Chapel. The role progresses from initial assignment across multiple student homes on a nine-on / three-off schedule to a placed houseparent assignment living with the same group of students. Eligibility requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years and both completing individual employment applications. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; salary is paid per person with full-time status.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
