Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation around $168,000 per couple, relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive benefits. Qualifications include youth-facing experience, valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort leading devotions; both spouses must apply separately and be age 27+. Relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
