Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist for two-person, on-campus houseparent team at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and budgeting/household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes and transitions to a placed houseparent assignment living with the same group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and demonstrated integrity; must be legally married for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; includes comprehensive benefits and on-campus housing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Familiarity with youth supervision and household management

- Ability to follow school policies on campus safety and conduct
