Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, providing care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and following a nine-on/three-off duty schedule with a later transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include a per-person salary of $44,768 (approx. $168,000 total per couple), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; model for students
- To be considered, both spouses must complete individual employment applications
