Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents on a campus setting, residing in student homes to provide care, supervision, and development support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group. Requires two-person, married-couple eligibility with at least two years of marriage, age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with youth. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Prohibited activities: smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Consistent with on-campus housing responsibilities and supervision
- Willingness to relocate to on-campus housing
