Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School, living on-campus in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Role evolves from initial nine-on/three-off schedule to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group; duties include budgeting, reporting, and providing a structured, family-like environment that supports students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Requires married partners, age 27+, with a minimum of two years of marriage, who complete individual employment applications; on-site relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
