Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring wellness, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same student group in their own home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children in residence
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only
