Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, on-campus homes caring for 8–13 students, providing daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; comprehensive benefits. Requires a two-spouse, legally married partnership with both spouses completing individual applications; high school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; Judeo-Christian chapel involvement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
