Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and accompany Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation to Hershey, PA (Itasca, TX location noted for hiring) with benefits including salary per person, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and paid training. Requires two‐person married couple, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and ability to drive student home vans; proselytizing not permitted; smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-year marriage minimum for the couple role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to lead devotions and attend Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Mutual employment for both spouses (two-person role)
