Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist on a two-person, married-couple team to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. The role involves residing in on-campus student homes and supervising 8–13 students, providing daily mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions with Sunday Chapel. Initially, the schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent who lives and works with the same group of students. Requires experience with youth, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and adherence to campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
