Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School on campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students, fostering academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role; must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
