Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents on a campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. After an initial nine-on/three-off duty cycle, couples transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person with relocation assistance, comprehensive health benefits, retirement and paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations and campus policies as described (fish and one dog of approved breeds)
