Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, a two-person, married-couple role located on campus in Hershey, PA, providing care, supervision, and developmental support for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, devotions, and Sunday Chapel, plus budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement to live and work with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided and compensation is approximately $44,768 per person (about $168,000 total per couple) including housing and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse relationship and both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for married couple (two years married)
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
