Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on an on-campus student home at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in devotions and Chapel, and managing budgets and reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule across multiple homes and transitions to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person of $44,768 (total compensation ~ $168,000 per couple), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and time off. Requires a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prohibited activities include alcohol on duty and proselytizing; housing and meals are provided as part of compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
