Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist - Flex Houseparents: a full-time two-person role for legally married couples living on an on-campus student home in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship of 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving and coordinating developmental activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on/three days off to a Placed Houseparent role. Requires high school diploma or GED, both spouses 27+, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a drug- and alcohol-free campus; relocation assistance provided. Salary per person is $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple when including housing and benefits). Relocation and paid training provided with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
