Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples, based on a full-time on-campus residence-life position at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and a structured, family-like environment for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, transportation to activities, planning developmental and recreational engagements, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from Flex Houseparents to a placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Requires two-person married couple with at least two years of marriage, each spouse age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and demonstrated integrity in youth settings; must complete individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older

- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model behavior for students
- Relocation to Hershey, PA with total compensation considerations for couples
