Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School to reside in on-campus student homes with a two-person married couple, provide daily supervision, mentorship, supervise household routines and student schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students; requires commitment to a structured, family-like environment and to guiding students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Smoke-free campus
- Weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Must be legally married for at least two years
